  1. I love your site-you and Oneika the Traveller are my favorite travel bloggers right now! My hubby and I are planning a trip to South America next year. We heard Ecuador is a great place to retire? (we are waaaaay to young to retire right now)
However, I’m hearing unfavorable things about black people’s experiences traveling there, any thoughts? I know I need to see for myself.
Thank you and keep up the great work!

    1. I was only in Ecuador very briefly – 4 days in Quito – and had no problems whatsoever. I mean, people are going to act funny and look sideways almost everywhere you go. Definitely plan on staying somewhere for a year or so before deciding to retire there. I’m giving SP a full year before making a commitment to staying, and I love this place; definitely don’t want to force anything.

Again, thanks a lot for reading. Where are you guys based? I’ll be in the US next week.

      1. Fly Bro,
No, I don’t have a blog (not as talented as you!)
Good advice on the year long stay prior to commitment-
We are based in the SF/Bay Area–You should come and visit us!

        T.
